Blogger's Quilt Festival, part 1

Amy Ellis is again hosting a Blogger's Quilt Festival at AmysCreativeSide.com.  Be sure to visit to see all the wonderful quilts in eleven categories.

My first entry for this year's festival, in the Large Quilt category, is my Double G Picnic quilt:

This quilt uses Cotton+Steel fabrics, primarily from Melody Miller's Picnic line.

I first posted about this quilt here.  This was a quick and easy quilt to construct; I wrote a tutorial which can be found here.

  2. Great quilt - when I saw the small snap of it I thought of Picnics and Plaid - it looks great on the truck too!

  3. So glad you entered this quilt. My favorite way to view it is in the thumbnail, where the plaid really comes through! (I do like it up close, too, because it shows how the use of those fabrics we'd never think of in plaid did indeed create that illusion.)
